Has anyone seen it? They say its terrible but I will still buy it when the price is cheap since I have all the others.

This was the one that they started filming in the early 90's but run out of money right? I read that it had finally been completed recently.

There's only 20 minutes of footage for this one in existence, it's included on the box set and really isn't worthwhile. 90% of it is inaudible because of the low-finances, most of the action consists of people running around the woods and they filmed one death scene if my memory serves me and it was a slit throat, again if my memory serves me. Not a whole lot to this one, and I think everyone considers Return to Sleepaway Camp the true part IV.

I thought this was a thread about Return to Sleepaway Camp, which I have in my Netflix Que, but I really have to get motivated to watch it.

Nah man they recently shot some new stuff and using clips from the other movies have padded it out to 70 minutes now.

Wow, that sounds even worse than I thought. Good lord. I mean, these movies weren't exactly good (except for one obviously notorious scene) under the best of circumstances. I really can't imagine the fourth could overcome setbacks like that.

Okay, so let me get this straight:
Part IV, which was initially started in the 90s which had 20 minutes of footage shot for it, is completed with clips and new footage shot nearly 30 years after the fact, is now going to come out 5 years after Return to Sleepaway Camp, which is now going to be called Part 5?
There's no way around this, this is going to become one of the worst films in the genre of all time.

Hey steady on mate, the 90's was only 20 years ago - I'm not that old yet . But yeah that's the short of it. It's been absolutely panned in Amazon reviews too. Return though is regarded as the "official" sequel. It doesn't acknowledge the others. I guess it's similar to the Universal Soldier series - which had two DTV sequels in the mid 90's,before Van Damme returned for the next instalments.

Ugh, finger slipped. Yeah I meant 20 on that part, never checked it but my finger slipped over. Sounds deserving of all the hate against it, then, though I will admit a bit of a soft-spot for the two UniSol movies you mentioned. Saw them a while back when I first got cable because I had Part 1 on VHS and never knew anything about the series, but I never really cared who was in it, stuff was blowing up and there were a ton of shootouts so I remember liking them. They pop up on cable nowadays here at like 2:00 in the morning so I've been meaning to give them a re-watch uncut but never have yet.
