Since we are at the end of 2012, what were your favorite films, television shows and books of the year? I will think over it and post my own list soon. And games.....forgot to mention games....

Favorite Film: Jersey Shore Shark Attack
Favorite TV Show: Most of the ones that debuted this year I watched more than likely will end up cancelled. In fact, some of them I'm surprised haven't been yet but they all seem to be on the watched list for the next one to get the axe.
Favorite Book: I don't read.

hmmm, tough to say:
Film: Lincoln/Django Unchained. Both brilliant and so different from one another its almost crazy to try to pick one as "better" than the other.
Television: Breaking Bad. Best television drama this year. Perhaps the best ever

All in all I found 2012 to be quite a dull year. I very much enjoyed The Avengers and Dark Shadows, but not a real lot else stood out for me.
As for TV - The Walking Dead stands tall above everything at the moment.

Oh, I left off best game. I didn't play as many this year as I normally do. Personally, I think I am getting the most enjoyment out of Assassin's Creed 3, which is fantastic. My second favorite game was Max Payne 3. Honotrable mention to both Mass Effect 3 and Halo 4, which were perfect at what they aimed to do, but just not my favorite genres personally

Favorite movies: The Avengers and The Cabin in the Woods. Also really enjoyed The Grey (even if I didn't completely buy the basic storyline), Snow White and the Huntsman and Magic Mike (and not just for the obvious reasons). Haven't had a chance to see Lincoln or Django Unchained.
Favorite Television Show: Not caught up on a whole lot, but probably American Horror Story
Favorite book: not caught up at all unfortunately, so favorite new to me book was A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick
Favorite Game: Mass Effect 3, problems with endings or not, still a fantastic game in my opinion. And I have put way more hours in multiplayer than I ever thought I would.

Forgot to mention that The Walking Dead game nearly beat out ME3 as my favorite game of the year. Definitely one of the most emotional games I have ever played, the decisions that I had to make not only made me think, but I felt them. Very well done.
