Toad, is that the one where the dude gets in trouble for trying to smuggle Hash out of Turkey or whatever? I saw that one a few years ago. It was alright, pretty weird, but I liked the ending.

Correct weight CT. Great film.
Just watched - for the umpteenth time - Life of Brian. Blessed are the cheesemakers!

Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
This movie is great! Im not a fan of Johnny Depp but he gives a great performance in this one as Hunter S. Thompson. I could barely even recognize him. Thanx for the recommendation CT.

Midnight Express. Absolute cracker. And terrific soundtrack. MMM hmmm. A great and highly upsetting film. BTW, you should check out some of the threads on IMD message board about how this film is killing the Turkish tourism industry, lol. How silly

Mind you when we were in Townsville last month and waiting at the ferry termnal for a boat to Magnetic Island I did overhear a group of Pommy backpackers talking about Wolf Creek at length. Mrs T restrained me from going over and introducing myself as Mick Taylor.

The Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner-Not exactly a horror movie, but this was still the funniest thing I've seen all year. Definitely one of the top 5 Roasts they've done. George Takei (Ta-kei, not Tah-kai lol) was the undisputed highlight, nearly outgrossing everyone else out with his "gay" jokes. The one about comparing Shatner's acting to his lover was the ultimate one of the night. He also got a glorious quipe about Farrah Fawcett that had me in stitches. Betty White was also great, being the only one (other than Fawcett) who didn't have something in their performance bleeped out. Still, it proved three things to me:
1. Farrah Fawcett is still better looking than 90% of Hollywood.
2. Artie Lang is at his best when he's feeling some woman up.
3. Andy Dick is to comedy what Shatner's toupee is: in desperate need of being put down for his own benefit. How he still is invited to these things is beyond me.
All in all, still one of the best ones around. Hard to decide which one was funnier: this one or Hugh Hefner's.

I saw part of the roast and it was pretty funny. I'll have to catch the rest soon, as Comedy Central will undoubtedly rerun it 1 million times in the next month.

Deliverance with Burt Reynolds and Jon Voight. Still a very powerful film despite its age. Even Mrs T was impressed.
