Thought we needed a punk thread in here. I have been getting into punk quite a bit lately. Still not familiar with a lot of the bands though. I like Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Sex Pistols, Misfits, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, The Exploited, and The Germs.

Another band you should check out, although they are a acquired taste are The Cramps. Punk but not really hardcore, but they do have longevity. You can hear one of their songs in "Return of the living Dead" its called "The Surfing Dead".

Ooooh... CK!!! A blessing for that one. ;D
Doesn't make me feel so old finding another Cramps person out there. And recognising it in ROTLD. Full marks.

Though I mostly listen to death/black/thrash metal, I think some punk and hardcore is awesome. The Misfits are one of my alltime favorites and I love Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Black Flag, Fear, Bad Brains, Suicidal Tendencies, Discharge, D.R.I., The Cramps, and The Circle Jerks. All quality bands.

Indeed! Great stuff.
Oh and CK and Canetoad I will check out the Cramps. Another sweet band on the ROTLD soundtrack is 45 Grave. Check them out if you haven't.
