Tom Morello is perhaps one of the most underrated guitarists. His inventive guitar style is pretty amazing. Morello creates some of the most crazy hybrid riffs of rock, funk, and hip hop. He definitely was a big contributor to Rage Against The Machine's unique sound when he played with them. His marxist politics also helped make him a some what controversial musical figure as well as a fervent activist. Morello also has many different guitars with messages on them. One being his infamous "Arm The Poor" guitar, and another being his "Sendero Luminoso" guitar; a tribute to the maoist guerilla organization in Peru. After Rage Against The Machine broke up he went on with three other members of the band and one member from Soundgarden to create the band Audioslave. While Audioslave isn't a very political band (or a very great band for that matter), Morello has currently been contributing his musical abilities to the excellent political hip hop group The Coup. Him and Boots Riley (frontman for The Coup) have also announced that they are working on a project titled Street Sweepers.

He was on the panel of Real Time With Bill Maher last month. It was good.

This seems like the right thread to post the news that Rage against the MAchine are apparently reuniting. they are confirmed to headline the Coachella festival in April, and may be planning a summer tour after that

Yea I heard about that. Supposedly it is just supposed to be a one time deal, but hopefully they will reunite.
