Well, I don't know about other places, but over here it's a pretty big deal. You could be banned permanently from a theater for sneaking into a movie, as there's cameras and ushers everywhere patrolling the halls. I was just referring to my theaters, as I don't know how the others handle it. But here, it's a pretty big deal. Anyway, interview 2 of the new film: www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/9749

I know I wasn't talking about sneaking in, I never had to sneak into a R rated movie, I just bought a ticket.....lol..they never checked id. I don't have it is here, because they only show two movies in town, and they are never R rated films. And like I said, things might have changed a lot (since it has been a LONG time since I was young enough not to get into one.....*sighs* )....or might be different in other areas.....but I have never known anyone to be carded, or turned away, trying to buy a ticket for a movie. The interview I can't seem to view, it is taking to a place to register for an account, which maybe I should do.....anyway, found them on my own but they won't load because my computer hates me today.....bloody hell....anything interesting in them??

Yeah, I'm having problems viewing them on my own as well. I was hoping someone would tell us what they're saying, as it would help a lot. My area is lot different than most, as we're pretty strict with our rules. Not that it's hard to get into a theater or anything, but it does have some restrictions. We do follow the under-17-legal-guardian thing seriously, and I've seen them ban others from the theater for failing to respond to the rules. It's just my area where I live, I don't know about anyone else or claim to. Anyway, Part 3: www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/9766

The last pre-interview for the film, as well as a special announcement: the thread for the film has been opened, so no need to start a new one for the film in here: www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/9775

Okay no offense guys but I am going to ignore everything that was said in this thread so far. I just bought the 2 disc unrated DVD and watched it. I haven't watched disc 2 yet so I haven't seen the alt. ending. BUT as far as the film goes here is what I have to say......
Well first off I didn't go into this as looking at it as a remake, but as a retelling. So in seeing Micheal killing animals, being perverted didn't bother me as much as others.
I mean come on who are we to judge from the original how his family life was, they never really went there did they. They never said Michaels mom was a whore or not. I mean come on they only uttered one word and that was his name.
With that being said, I can believe that a crazed killer come from a family as Rob put it than a "normal family". The fact that Micheal did talk a bit to Loomis a getting less and less as time went on seemed to be more believable to me anyway.
I think as horror fans we thought too much about this one (Yes Conan I know I am going to eat crow cause of my views on DOTD remake) But this in a way isn't really a remake but a prequel. It didn't work for Lucas, but IMO it did work for Zombie.
GO ON ROB MAKE ROSENTHAL PROD AND TACKLE HALLOWEEN II !!!!!!!!!!!!

CK, this was a pre-release publicity thread, while the other thread is merely there for thoughts. The purpose of the two is to seperate generating buzz and feelings towards production announcements rather than feelings on the film, so just a little clarification there.
