Looks promising, but I just wish he'd blacken out the eyes. The eyes don't make him look that creepy like the original one did.

I love the way he looks in this one, but like GL said his eyes don't look as creepy. I love the new mask!

The mask is too Leatherface-ish. The dirty brown and black doesn't look as good as the original, or even in Part 6 (still my favorite mask look) and feels too reminisent of the TCM remake's mask. I still don't know about it.

Here I made one gif from the trailer (Rob Zombie's Halloween): You can use it for your avatar if you want to P.S. The Yahoo's trailer of the movie has been removed.

Hopefully there's more splatter than that... looks almost PG-13. Thanks for the clip!

I think what bugs me about that is that you can tell it's a kid. The original worked because it was unknown who did it and the reveal gave the shock. Letting us know it's the kid is a mistake.

Excellent point, GL. You are 100% right about why it worked wit the 1st film, and that is a far less efftive way to hanlde it. Tthat said, the original is now such a ubiquitous horror film that they better have deveated somewhere from the plot of the original or there will be no suspense anyway. I'd venture a guess that we all know the plot or this one by heart and no variation on the original theme that doesn't try to develop its big payoff shocks through elements that weren't in the original could ever succeed

Hear hear... which is exactly what sucked about The Omen remake - it was almost a shot-for-shot copy, and you knew exactly what was coming at every turn.

Granted it was well enough produced, but it offered m nothing new at all... didn't you sit there thinking why the hell did they bother?

when i hear the word remake i automatically think whyd they bother i so much so that i didnt bother with The Omen, The Fog, i turned Dawn of the Dead after 10 mins and i wont bother with Black Christmas or any other of these ill conceived ideas.
This Halloween movie i will check out plain and simply because im a Myers/slasher fan but i am not going in with high expectations
