For now. I think Boise State will be playing for the National Championship this year. Finally, they won't get robbed if they win out

They'd be a tough opponent no doubt. But I would rather face them than Alabama.

Lots of interesting things going on in the NFL and NCAA. It would be wrong not to say that my thoughts are with Eric LeGrande and his family today, though. May he walk again

sorry, CT. I have been holding out hope that the Bengals would be alright, but I now finally have to say that you are right, they are not very good. Biggest problem for them these days is that Cedric Benson is just not anywhere near what he was last year. He's also killing my damn fantasy team, for the record.
Giants have the Cowboys tonight. Most people picking the Giants to win, but I'm not so sure. So far, the Giants have won three straight against weak opponents (with the possible exception of the Texans). Tonight is their first division game against a desperate Dallas team. Dallas is still very dangerous. I think they dug themselves too deep of a hole to win the division, and probably too deep to make the playoffs, but they are still capable of taking a game here or there from any team in the league. This is a test for both teams. IF the Cowboys lose, they are officially irrelevant. If the Giants don't win, then they are not nearly so good as people are saying they are.

Yep, Bengals are a lost cause, this season anyhow. Probably be a lot of staff and players gone after this year too.
Should be a good game tonight, I'll be watching.

Bengals offense should stay intact. The defense is a problem. And, for God's sake, I'll say it again, Marvin Lewis is the most important change that the Bengals could make. They REALLY need to fire him, maybe even before the season ends

Yes I think Marvin will be gone and either T.O. or Ochocinco if not both.

TO has played well, though he is showing his age. Ochocinco has sucked pretty bad, though. Again, I think its the running game that has to be corrected. With Carson Palmer, you can get another couple of years out of those receivers. Defense needs an overhaul, and I'd consider dumping Cedric Benson. He had a big year last year, but it was completely out of character with what he did with the Bears, and he is playing more like he did then again now this year.
As for last night's game, wow. Giants made some huge mistakes and still came out on top. They look good, but mostly Dallas is a team that can't stop falling all over itself.

Yep Giants looked good and Cowboys are finished. I agree with you about our running game I just think Chad will throw a fit after another year of below average stats for him and no playoffs and T.O. will probably go somewhere else. I'm not worried though, Shipley is awesome and we have some other good receivers and could easily add a good new one. Whenit comes to defense everything but our secondary needs a lot work. And O line is killing us, Palmer never has more than half a second to get a pass off...

Yeah, I agree. Still, it is just hard to understand why a team that played so well last year, and made only improvements in the off season, is so different now. I really can't see what they lost from last year in terms of personnel, and I can clearly see what they gained. By all rights, they should be better than ever. That just sucks. As for Palmer, he is not going anywhere. Nobody else will pay him as much as you guys will.

Yeah, the Patriots come out looking big this week for sure. The Jets and the Steelers took a step back. Colts shut down the Texans (which is a big deal because the Wildcard is not coming from down there and winning the division is everything for those two teams). Rams look good. Chiefs look good. Raiders look good. Cowboys, Vikings, and Niners look awful. saints look mediocre. Who thought we'd be saying any of that this time of the season?

CAn't even fucking believe what I saw on Sunday and I really don't wanna talk about it. I hate Philadephia. I hate the people, I hate the city, I hate the teams, it is a cesspool. THey should put a gigantic urinal cake in the middle of rittenhouse circle to wash away the filth that populates that place.
Anyway, now we have to beat the Packers (who just played a damn solid game against the Pats last night) to make the show. No teams have met three times (twice in the regular season adn once in the post season) and had a single team win all three games. Plus, the Giants definitely established that they were more than capable of winning that game. In fact, it is downright disgusting that tehy didn't. They still have a shot, not that they deserve it.
