I'm officially pissed at the Reds. Sat through 19 innings and two tornados and they still lost!

Yeah, I think you guys do need to do that, especially since you guys have a game in about an hour or so, right? Day game after a 19-inning affair, I think your losing streak will continue.

Well, I've now sat through 5 of the 6 Yankees/Red Sox games, and if they could play each other every game for the rest of the season, looks like Red Sox take the pennant without much resistance. They've won 4 of the 5 I've watched, and the one I missed they still won so it's still a record of 5-1 Red Sox. Seems like that's the way to exorcise a bit more of the demons from the curse, keep it going fellas.

Well, I don't think its any surprise that the Sox are better than the Yanks overall. Everyone waspredicting that. The Sox had a tough season start, though, and I am not yet convinced that they are guaranteed to finish ahead in the AL East. Also, I realize you were only comparing them to eachother, but I also don't think that either of them are really among the best teams in the league right now

True, yes it's only been 7 games out of 18, they're not even at the halfway point of the schedule between each other, but still the fact that they've looked so good and overpowering to the team does make for some observations early on. This doesn't look like a team which is afraid of being dominated and embarrassed going into the stadium or having them come to Boston and play there, so it's not like the Twins who clearly look like they feel they don't belong out there with them, the ease with which they've scored runs shows they feel they have a line-up to stack up against them in a slug-fight, and the pitching has kept them in check where it's not like they're giving up 8 or 9 runs every time out. It's the Yankees, I expect them to do score some runs and we're not going to get a 4 game series of 3-1 or 2-0 games each time out, but so far they look so dominating and overpowering over the Yankees that it seems like a lock if it came down to the two, Boston has it easily.

Yeah, but they whacked around Tim Lincecum so that should count for something.

The Reds will be alright. They look alright and absolutely nothing can be decided in June. Still waiting to see where the big injuries and epic collapses come from. So far its going almost exactly like it was scripted, and that won't last for ever

I wouldn't put money on it, but I'm looking at the Giants to collapse and the Yankees to be riddled with injuries. They've already gotten started on that front, so it looks pretty close to being accurate.

The Yanks definitely have major injury problems. I am not paying close enough attention, though, to be sure how many of their walking wounded they'll hav back on the other side of the all star break or so. The Giants might collapse, only because Lincecum is not looking as dominant as he was last year. That could all change, of course, though. Any team that has three potential 20 game winners should be in pretty good shape barring major surprises

Made it to a minor league game last weekend, good times. Hope to make it to a few Reds games later this summer. Great American Ballpark is pretty nice and Cincy is only 45 min south of here.
You guys takin in any baseball games this summer?

I caught a Yankees/REdsox game at Fenway earlier in the year. Unfortunately, I live kinda far from my favorite team (The Mets) these days, so most of my baseball watching is on television. I do make the trip down to see at least two or three Giants games once football season starts, though, because my dad has season tickets and gets tired of taking the wife sometimes and wants to go with someone who understands the game. ITs a worthwhile father/son bonding trip

That's awesome, I've never been to an NFL game.

Really? You should definitely go. NFL tickets aren't cheap because pretty much every team is capable of selling out every game, but its worth it to go at least once.
