Oh, sorry, man. I mean that I'm playing this game: It's the only console I own so I don't have anything more recent. That's about all I really have the training for since I'm not skilled at all when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Well, I know none of our teams are in it, but I still think these last two weeks or so are gonna be pretty good. We've started getting some races again after it looked like this was gonna be an easy one to look at and decide on. AL West, AL Wild Card and NL Wild Card are shaping up to be pretty interesting, even though the others are either no-doubters or already clinched.

I guess I'll jsut root for the Yankees by default, but this is yet another year where the start of football takes me away from baseball because I don't have any team left to really get behind

Well, I wouldn't do that in my case (my team's the Dodgers and I live by the Angels who are still in it theoretically) as I'm still in the mindset of rooting for the fun races still to be determined. I don't really see the point in rooting for another team you really don't follow all season just because they're geographically similar to your location, but whatever keeps you rooting I guess. I'm just having more fun in the what's to happen phase especially since I really like some of the other teams still in the races (Rangers, Rays and Braves) away from where I am.

Ugh, didn't get through yesterday, so I'll try it again:
Congratulations to Mariano Rivera for setting the all-time saves record for a closer.

Hell of an accomplishment for Rivera. Personally, I'm watching Kemp and hoping he can win the batting triple crown. As a Dodger's fan, I have to assume you are all over that.

Oh, I'm indeed all over that, as my weekend TV watching will attest. I'm also very high on Kershaw getting the Cy Young, which I think has a far more likely chance of happening but to think we have the two top awards on one team is staggering.
If only Dee Gordon could've been up all year, we could've had the Rookie of the Year as well and swept all the awards. But even that was a long shot.

Yeah, especially to think you have the two top awards on one team, and that team was not all that good.

Well, after what Fielder did last night to get himself back in the thick of the competition, it might not be as easy as I thought it would be last week, but I'm still holding out hope we can take the awards.

HOLY. FUCKING. HELL! Last night was awesome with three of the four main games standing up as some of the best games of the year. Who else thought the same?

So, it looks like the postseason will start (somewhat) today with some pretty good match-ups, with Tampa against Texas and the big one, Detroit vs. New York. Who you rooting for? Who you watching?

The Yankees. They are my second team. I'd also like to see the Rangers beat the Rays, but I wouldn't bet on that

I guess this is the problem with posting on a Friday: I was looking forward to Verlander/Sabathia but that turned out sour. Looks like it'll be tonight instead, though, so that should be good times.
Right now, my dream world series is Tigers/Brewers, just for something new to happen and for some unknown factors to come in, so those are the two teams I'm looking the most at though I wouldn't feel too bad if the Cards replaced the Brewers. I doubt I'll watch the Phillies/Yankees as it looks very likely that'll be the teams to get that far.

Well, we've got one of the teams decided now for the ALCS, congrats to the Texas Rangers for accomplishing the goal and getting that far. Three more to go before we have that series decided.
