Looks like I'm getting closer to my dream, I'm almost halfway there with the Tigers winning over the Yankees and now facing the Rangers for the AL pennant.
Just need the Brewers to come through tonight and beat St. Louis/Philadelphia for their half.

Well, we've gotten two awesome series so far, each one's been full of great games that have truly gone back-and-forth both ways numerous times and I'm a little unsure of who's going on. I had hoped for Detroit/Milwaukee, that was my dream one but after the first two or three games, seemed like it was going to be Texas/St. Louis which I wouldn't have minded, but thankfully both are now tied at 2 apiece so I still have a shot at my original predictions.

First off, congrats to both the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals for their advancing into the World Series over the weekend.
It looks like I'm totally off on my predictions, instead of Detroit vs. Milwaukee which I had wanted, it's Texas vs. St. Louis, and that's not a bad one at all. Anything's better than New York vs. Philadelphia as far as I'm concerned, so this works for me on that level. So here's hoping for a fun World Series.

So, it's come down to this, a last-day winner-takes-all game to decide the winner. Thoughts? Predictions? Hopefulls?
Regardless of outcome, last night may have been the best game of the year and this is entered into the top 3 best World Series of all Time. I'm absolutely loving it.

This World Series has been great. if only different teams were involved, more people might actually have seen it.

So, has anyone heard anything more about that catcher who got abducted in Venezuela? Pretty scary, but nothing else has been said about it other than it happened.

No, just heard the story on the radio yesterday morning. What an awful thing. Gotta encourage these kids to understand that once they get some money and notoriety it is too dangerous for them to go home. This has happened before, but only to family members. This is the first time that the athlete themselves were abducted to my knowledge, but far from the first time that family members were ransomed off this way.

Yeah, I heard about that. Definitely great news and totally agree with that earlier post, no sense staying around in the country like that if you're one of these kinds of players. Move them out to Miami if they don't want to really move, but keep them in a heavily-Latin section of the country so that doesn't happen anymore. I don't know what Nationals fans went through since they know him much more than others, but I doubt it'll be any different if it happened to a top prospect in any franchise you're a fan of. Definitely a scary time, but thankfully it's over with the best result possible.
