Well the good news is that I will only have to wait 33 hours after the U.S premiere.Which is much better than the 14 months before Season 1 aired in Australia. It's about time Australian networks (especially cable) have realised the power of the internet. I only have to wait 6 days for Grimm, and Dexter season 7 will only be a few days behind as well. When it's this close behind,I don't even consider downloading.

I don't see the need for a delay at all aside from a slight delay to allow for the timezone difference. I mean, the USA is a superior nation that can do no wrong, but surely we can throw a few bones in the form of entertainment to you lowly foreigners.

Apparently there is some legality involved that I'm not quite sure of. It doesn't seem to apply to WWE Smackdown though, as we get it on Friday afternoon, some 18 or so hours before it airs in the U.S. - Though I am aware that it is actually taped on a Tuesday, and therefore not 'Live'as Michael Cole constantly tells us. It very well could be the first thing the WWE has ever faked

Linda McMahon is running for the Senate and she's leading in the polls.... Well it makes sense that someone who has made her name running a business that essentially lies to the masses would run for politics.

I'm not fan of her politics or the way the WWE has treated many of its employees but I wouldn't call the worked nature of the wrestling business a lie. Sure it's scripted, but everyone over the age of 5 knows that. And yes, they present it as if it's real but that's done for dramatic effect not to trick or lie to people.

Wrestling is garbage that appeals to the lowest common denominator. The plots, such as they are, are straight out of Jerry Springer, while there can be no doubt that the performers are athletic, they certainly aren't competing for anything real, and the whole thing teaches children that violence is the way to solve simple disagreements. It is shameful trash, and we are a worse society for its existence.

Oh give me a break, that's what people say about horror movies as well. The scripted and cartoonish over the top nature of the performances and storylines in wrestling are far less likely to be emulated than the slick and realistic violence presented all over tv these days. And let's not kid outselves, any 6 year old can navigate HBO on demand or Netflix streaming and watch ultra violent tv shows and movies. Hell, any 7 year old worth his salt knows how to download movies off torrent sites. They're seeing far worse things than wrestling and unless those things are also being labled as shameless trash that worsens society, singling out wrestling seems absurd. they certainly aren't competing for anything real And Bruce Willis hasn't really saved the world a dozen times? It's scripted entertainment. That's how it works. When someone tells me the saw a play the other night, I don't feel the need to point out to them that it was just a performance. And while the wins/losses and championship reigns are pre-determined, the better someone performs and the better the crowd responds to them, the more they will be booked to win and the more likely they will get a pay increase. So there are actually some very real consequences to what happens in the ring. Is it a trashy form of entertainment? Sure, but so are half the movies we talk about here. Also, I would rank wrestling way above most reality television. At least wrestling admits it's scripted. Reality tv producers don't admit the obvious scripted nature of it, and most people who watch it actually think that shit is real. That's far more trashy and disgraceful than wrestling which at least exhibits some genuinely talented performers instead of attention whores desperate to attain 15 minutes of fame by any means necessary. That shit will have a far greater negative affect on our youth than wrestling. There's no doubt in my mind about that.

The best season by far. It's really pushed the boundaries of gore on TV. Particular highlights for me - Prisoner's head - meet Rick's Machete, and the demise of a certain character that I've been hoping for since about episode 2
