I stand corrected, didn't realize you had seen it. EDIT: Although now that I think about it, that was a pretty safe assumption on my part since you listed it as film you "vow to never watch". I know some others listed movies they would never rewatch which is fine but they clarified that. Jus sayyin

Jus sayyin Yeah, I can't really answer that question, because I will give just about anything a chance. Other than say, I Spit on Your Grave, A Serbian Film, Cannibal Holocaust and the like, movies that probably just go too far for me. But even those I have never said never......just probably not for me.

Have to agree on a couple of those Jen. I don't think I will ever bother with Serbian Film,or The Human Centipede films or the remakes of either I spit ... or Last House.
I'm glad I got over my Dicaprio bias though cause he really is a fantastic actor,as evidence by his turn in J. Edgar.

It was The Basketball Diaries that changed my mind, the movie has it's issues, but he showed surprising depth. Haven't seen J. Edgar yet though. None taken CS...

Has anyone seen "This Boy's Life". That one was pretty good too and he was just a youngin'. Although I admit that I disliked him for a few years post-Titanic.
As for the topic at hand, Serbian Film sounds like a no-go for me as well. I have also avoided Cannibal Holocaust but have stopped short of vowing to never see it and am tempted to do so. Perhaps I'll watch the version with the animal stuff cut out. Human Centipede I do want to see, just haven't gotten around to it. I'm sure it will test the strength of my stomach though.

There is only one type of movie that I refuse to watch under any circumstances, and that is roughies that celebrate rape as an erotic event. The most notorious one is probably Forced Entry. Never seen it and never will. I have similar feelings generally about rape/revenge films, but I have seen I Spit on Your Grave (awful and offensive) and I actually like Last House on the Left, so I can't say never.

Believe me guys, Cannibal Holocaust isn't that big of a deal, its reputation obviously preceeds, as seen by the reactions its receiving here. The animal stuff! Every animal that was killed was eaten afterward, so no animal was killed just for the sake of killing the animal, the kid did actually eat the muskrats guts, so even that one counts.

I heard they slowly kill the muskrat though. That's pretty fucked up if true.

Well, not that slowly. If thats your main concern then the animal free version is prob the way to go. Everything else in it is just special effects, or they actually killed the peolple. Watch the scene of the girl getting killed at the end, I cant sseem to find the cut when they would normally switch the actress for a dummy. Lol

That's creepy but I remember reading the director got investigated and had to prove none of the deaths were real.

The deal with Cannibal Holocaust was that the director had to go to court to prove that the footage was fake.

Any of the Transformers movies. I hate it when cartoons are turned into live action films. I hold the 1986 animated movie dear to my heart.
