I've embarked on a mission to import as many films the Australian censors have banned (like Caligula which I should know very soon if Customs has intercepted) as possible. Mmmm... 'fork' time I methinks! Damn, where's the fork doohickie whatsit gone?

That is why. lol.
Downloading The Gospel According To St. Matthews right now. I think it's cool how Pasolini made a film like this from his own perspective even though he is an atheist.

Yeah, you will see what a great film that is. I should consider putting it on my Top 20 list

i love equilibrium and christian bale , some of the gun scenes were amazing.
i just watched hard candy , it was very good . even though the film centres around just 2 people in a house it wasn't boring and the script was well done . disturbing but worth seeing.

Looking forward to Hard Candy at the cinema this weekend. Caught Superman Returns while on hols... what an overblown piece of twaddle - the quasi-religious overtones had me reaching for the chunder bag.

Only reason I went was the tickets were freebies - represented nearly everything that is bad about Hollywood IMHO.

Watched Eat the Rich with Mrs T last night. Toad LOVES that film - absolutely piss funny British political satire with Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Rick Mayall, Lemmy from Motorhead (and a Motorhead soundtrack - bonus!)... as well as appearances from the likes of Paul McCartney and Bill Wyman.
A pised off London waiter joins a revoltionary cadre and turns a toffee-nosed restaurant into one that serves up mince meat made from patrons. F-ing hilarious. The Home Secretary is one of the funniest characters ever committed to cellulid.

Caught Superman Returns while on hols... what an overblown piece of twaddle - the quasi-religious overtones had me reaching for the chunder bag. Wow, I'm a little surprised by that reaction. I thought it was a bit overlong and that the ending was pretty weak, but I enjoyed it overall. I agree that the religious overtones wre a bit on the heavy side, but that has always been a part of the Superman mythos, so I don't know quite how they could be extracted
