Yea, I listened to them and that Wurdulak album is even better than I expected. Love it! The Necrophagia album was awesome also.

Awesomeness! Necrophagia has been a favorite of mine ever since I listened to Cannibal Holocaust by them.

Yeah, the line-up is great to begin with, but then to add in the extreme love for the good horror films in the lyrics is just a step over into likeability.

Yea. Iscariah playing with them is fucking sweet. Killjoy's vocals are one of a kind too.

Immortal are awesome, love them.
Wurdulak is a great black metal band and pretty unique also. The band consists of Killjoy (vocals) from Necrophagia, Iscariah (bassist) from Immortal, Maniac (vocals) of the legendary Mayhem, and Jehmod (drums), Fug (guitarist), and Ihzahg (guitarist). They have two albums out right now, Ceremony In Flames and Severed Eyes Of Possession. And if I am not mistaken, the name of the band comes from a Mario Bava film. GL should be able to tell you the name of the film, because I always forget.
If your interested in Wurdulak, then you should definitely check out Necrophagia. They are like a unique sort of hybrid of death and thrash with gore soaked lyrics about horror films. The whole cover art for their album Holocausto de la Morte just consists of artwork from Lucio Fulci's films.

Wurdulak is from the Bava film Black Sabbath, and is in the segment with Boris Karloff. He's called the title creature, which is a vampire race cursed to feed on the blood on his relatives. Yet another reason to get that box set.
And when did Iscariah join Necrophagia? I don't remember that happening.

I believe Iscariah joined them in 2002 with the Divine Art Of Torture album. I just recently got the Necrophagia DVD Necrotorture/Sickcess and you can see him tearing it up on there.

Could never get into Necrophagia. A friend of mine lent me their video, I think it was called Through Eyes of the Dead. I thought the songs were terrible. Too sloppy with a really shitty guitar sound, Phil Anselmo shouldn't be playing guitar. The videos were cool though, nice and gory. The one about The Beyond was especially cool. When I want my horror metal I'll stick with Mortician, Frightmare, and Engorged.
I'm listening to a lot of Cryptopsy right now, pretty much None So Vile, And Then You'll Beg, and Once Was Not. It sucks that Lord Worm left the band. His vocals on None So Vile are absolutely inhuman.

For horror metal, I also like Gruesome Stuff Relish. A tad on the grindcore-ish side but they're still good enough for some Halloween listens.
For some reason, I never get the urge to play Cryptopsy all that much. I love the sound, the style and there's tons of great songs in their catelog, but on my media player, they're in the middle of the pack, so to speak. No really break-out song like with a lot of other groups I listen to, as they're all really clumped together in the middle of the section. I liked Worm but for me, I liked Lacroix a little more. Might be the diversity, I don't know, but yeah, real shame there about him leaving.
