Well I hated the first one. Saw the commercial for the 2nd yesterday while seeing District 9 and I thought it looked really good. Anyone else interested in this?

I'm really looking forward to this one and agree it looks good d3mon. I liked the first one fairly well but hope this one is better and truly great. I have faith in Zombie.

I know I will see it eventually, but I'm in no hurry. Wasn't crazy about the remake. I do think the trailer looks pretty good though. Just hard for me to get excited for it after the disappointment of the first one.

I agree Jen but I just cant not see a Halloween movie opening night. It's just in my blood I guess. RZ made quite possibly the most boring horror movie of teh year with the remake IMO. I really don't think this is anything but a well edited trailer. Even still I HAVE to watch every Halloween when it comes out since that original movie is what made me who I am today.

yea man and I HATE to diss RZHalloween, I see so many people love it. I just cant lie though... it would be the loser thing to do.
I just wasnt feelin it once he was sent to the mental wrd. It was boreville from there on in for me. I was never glad I was sitting there watching it.
I wish I could see it as a good movie!

I wish I could see it as a good movie! I thought it was boring as well.....its hard for me to even think of it as a Halloween film to be honest. The mask was there, the mask looked great. But otherwise, there wasn't much there to hold my interest. Zombie seemed too intent on "explaining" Michael, which just doesn't do it for me. It made him a lot less scary in my opinion. And I LIKE Rob Zombie. I still love The Devil's Rejects, its a favorite of mine. House of a 1000 Corpses, ehhh, not so much, but I saw potential there, even if I found it a bit generic. I think he has a good eye (and a good ear) so I still have hope that he will shape up to be a damn fine director. I just don't think its going to happen if he focuses is energy on remakes, instead of actually tackling his own characters again. But again, maybe this next one will be better. I'm just not driving an hour and then paying ridiculous ticket prices to find out....lol....

The more you explain Michael Myers the less interesting he becomes.

You're right d3mon, but I guess it was a way of RZ making it his own. I don't consider him Michael myers in these ones, he's rz's Michael and that let's me enjoy it.

That's a good way to think of it. Sadly I loved the feel of the movie. Just not the script, plot, pace, acting, actors or anything else really. But yea the feel was classic! Loved the Step dad though! Perfect job!

I side with Demon on this one. I am in no rush to see this, and to be honest, I had completely no interest in it's development either. I read something about six months ago on BD, and that was all I cared to. I was not disappointed at first with the remake, however time, even the short span since it's release, has not been kind to it, or my opinion of it.
That said, I'll probably see it in the theater. It will be a good excuse to get some heart-clogging popcorn, and that's good enough for me.

So the vibe I'm getting is that people aren't excited but it's gonna make money so they'll be yet another, hehe.

I read an interview with Rob Zombie the other day that actually tells me he kind of realizes where he went wrong with the first one (basically saying that it was 50% him trying to make his own film, 50% trying to remake Carpenter's film....I'm thinking, maybe like lifting scenes directly from the original that didn't even really make sense in his film? ). He says this one is 100% him. So this really might be decent. Maybe? LOL
