Madden NFL 2010 for iPhone. Really is nearly as good as the real thing and it works well with the touchscreen controls. I just wish you could do franchise mode with fantasy draft. All you can do besides "play now" is a single season.

Sorry, but it isn't. Have you picked up Madden 10 for your 360 yet? When you do, you'll be blown away. Online franchise and season mode is fucking insane.
As for my last game played, I went back and started Condemned: Criminal Origin. I don't know why I never got into this game when I first bought it, but now that I have gone back and played it, it has an awesome horror atmosphere. Parts of this game have actually scared me a little. That is pretty awesome, if you ask me

So what are these insanely great updates for season and franchise mode? If they are there, they're like 5 f'n years late. Can you finally create a team for xbox 360 or have the dimwits still not mastered that feature that had been around on the ps2 versions. I might buy it but $60 is so damn much and I also want that western game you were telling me about. Besides, the iPhone version still allows me to pound the Giants into submission with the Bengals!

Yeah, they hae updated that feature. Not only can you create a team, but you can create 8, 16, 24, or 32 team online leagues on XBox Live and play an entire online season. You can do it using existing teams or you can create your own teams and have a fantasy draft to do it. It is completely amazing and way beyond anything that Madden has ever had before. It is kinda late for them to establish online franchise mode, but it is still great And if you do pick it up for 360 let me know. We'll meet online and I will get some vindication for my Giants.

Hell yea. I can actually go in half on it with my roommate to save some dough and he has xbox live on his sytem (I don't yet ) so we'll have to play sometime after I buy Madden. I am pretty mediocre though, don't expect a huge challenge.

We went ahead and bought the 360 as an early Christmas present for us both (since HNT helped us decide between it and the PS3). I have been playing Bioshock and Ninja Gaiden 2.
And we're online as well. But its kind of embarrassing.....I mean, I love to play and all, but I'm not very good...haha.

Xbox live is so much fun but certainly can be frustrating going up against experts (middle schoolers who's parent never make them play outside haha)

Congrats on the purchase, Jen. I'm sure you are gonna have a great time
Honestly that is what I use it for mostly myself, Jen. ONline multiplayer gaming is not my thing either, but I do like taking a look at those demos because it helps me decide which games are worth buying. When they cost 60 bucks a piece you have to use something to figure out which games are worth your money.
As for the games you got, both Bioshock and Ninja Gaiden II are great games. Ninja GAiden is one of the hardest games out there, though, so even though I hear you saying that you aren't very good, I have to say don't be too hard on yourself if the measurement is how you are doing at that game. That is just one helluva difficult game.

Oh, and the other feature that I forgot to mention is that they have updates to the stats and abilities of the players and rosters. if the rosters change, you can download an update. It is a bigger deal in sports taht have trades more often than football does, but it is still cool. THe other factor that I have heard about, but haven't tried yet, is I think you can get your player's stats tweaked in order to reflect their actual performance. For example, I bet the version of Cedric Benson in the game kinda sucks, but now I think you can download new stats for him that will reflect how well he is playing these days

There is something cathartic about beating a leadhead splicer with a wrench....LOL.... Ninja Gaiden really is a great game, but rather frustrating. Glad to hear its tough, because I regularly get stuck. I can't seem to play it for too long., might take me awhile to get through that one. I loved the Ninja Gaiden games on NES, and I think I remember them being pretty tough for me even then as well.....lol. And I agree about the demos, its definitely good to have an idea which ones are worth the money, because that is a lot of money. We have been raiding bargain bins so far, and trying to decide which ones may be worth picking up new or used. Any recommendations would be welcome (especially for horror/survival games).

Yeah I bought the latest NBA live when it came out last cycle and it had those day to day roster updates features. Definately a good use of online capabilities for sports games.

We have been raiding bargain bins so far, and trying to decide which ones may be worth picking up new or used. Any recommendations would be welcome (especially for horror/survival games). Well, for horror/survival games I would recommend a few games. First of all, pick up REsident Evil 5. That one might not be very cheap yet, though. As for cheaper options, you should pick up Condemned: Criminal Origin right away. If you like it, you shouild also get Condemned 2, but that is still a fairly expensive game I believe. Pick up the cheap one and try it because it has a very methodical and slow gameplay that not everyone likes. The value of the pace is that it sets you up for scary crap to jump out at you all the time and also highlights the grimy sets (a huge part of the game takes place in abandoned subway tunnels and stuff). Also, I would recommend The Darkness. It is not very scary, but the gameplay is great and it has a sweet demonic theme. And the voice work for the demons is incredible. And Dead Rising, of course. YOu should be able to pick it up for next to nothing these days. It is incredibly hard, but has the whole thousands of zimbies attacking survivors in a shopping mall theme that works very well. IT is clear that the designers of this game were huge fans of GAR and DOTD in particular. Finally, it is not survival horror, but if you are prepared to play team based cooperative shooters, Left 4 Dead is pretty awesome. YOu play with 4 other people and cooperate to survive a zimbie outbreak. As a single player game it is pretty short and boring, but online multiplayer zombie assaults are frigging amazing

Thanks HNT! We both have enjoyed the Resident Evil games, so I am sure we will pick it up eventually. And we did pick up Dead Rising, it was in a pack with 2 other games pretty cheap.
Condemned Criminal Origins sounds great, and it is surprisingly cheap. Will definitely be ordering that one.

Yeah, I am having a hell of a lot of fun with that one myself. Also, did you get the 360 Elite, Pro, or Arcade? If you tgot one of the versions that has a hard drive (the arcade does not and is cheaper) then you should keep in mind that you can play original xBox games as well. Most of those are really cheap these days and can be purchased for $5 bucks and sometimes even less than that
