Found this Jen, does it help? "Beat it on the first try, on hard. The spacewalk before it gave me more trouble than the shooting part. Trick is to time your use of each barrel so that you use the left barrel for meteors on the left, right barrel for those on the right. You have infinite ammunition but the only thing you need to worry about is overheating, so you can't hold down both triggers and fill the screen with bullets. I actually have my mouse sensitivity set really low, because I hate how erratic the aiming in this game can be. With low sensitivity, short movements of my hand will be very subtle, while sharper movements of my hand will cover more distance in the game. Wider range of reactions. One more thing, you don't need to destroy every meteor, if you shoot one in the side and drive it off the left or right edge. Think of it as shooting pool." Haha....see, I knew I was bad at this..... I don't use both triggers, unless I am firing on the bigger ones. But I will try going a little more slowly, with only one of the triggers at time with those as well. Its hard to break them up before they strike though, even using both triggers. Well, its hard for ME anyway...LOL...guess for some people its not.

I usually don't play games,I don't even own a console of any format, but now that i've seen the trailer for the Saw game, I think it may be time to get an x-box

I definitely think that getting the 360 is a good move, but I would be a little skeptical of the Saw game if I were you. I was really excited for it too, because I thought it would be a better premise for a game than a film. I know you love the Saw films, though, and the reviews for this game have been especially negative from people who like the films. Apparently, it takes some extreme liberties with the story that don't make a lot of sense.
I will probably pick it up myself once it is a bit cheaper, but it is not one that I'd pay full price for. There are many other great horror themed games that are worth playing, though, Matt.
For you, however, I would suggest looking into a PS3 instead of the XBox. For everyone else I am recommending XBox, but the reason I would suggest considering Ps3 to you is because the PS3 is region free and the XBox is not. Unfortunately, there are big issues with videogame censorship in Australia, and so the games developed for your region are sometimes edited versions of the games that we get in other regions. I know that this is an issue with Left 4 Dead 2 and Dead Rising 2, and I wouldn'tbe surprised if it were true for Saw as well

Saints Row 2
Really a pretty fun game. The differences between it and GTA are cool and quite welcome for someone like me who has played through GTA IV 3 times already. Well worth the $20 so far.

Max Payne is one of the all time greats. Can't wait for the third one next year. Oh, and Alan Wake too

We have Max Payne here as well, found it pretty cheap. Haven't tried it yet though.

It's pretty fun, you float in midair matrix style and cap gangsters.

Max PAyne is probably the best 3rd person shooter ever made. Most of the things that it introduced to the genre (like bullet time as CT mentioned) have been adopted by most other games in the genre. THe story is a little over the top, but it is also gritty, tough, and relies heavily on very cool film noir conventions.
THere is really nothing at all bad to say about the game, except that it might show its age a little these days if you are expecting cutting edge graphics and more modern controls. Even still, it has tons of action, and one of the most engaging single player campaigns in any shooter ever

Yes, the graphics are dated and the otherbad thing is it's a pretty short game, but that's almost irrelevant with how cheap you can get it these days. A fun game to plow through.
I'll probably get the 2nd one before 3 comes out.
Finally got my xbox live up and running so Ive been playing Saints Row 2 Online.

What difficulty level are you playing it on? If you play it on the tougher difficulty settings, I remember it taking a reasonable bit of time to get through. HAve you finished it yet? I only ask because there is a plot twist that I won't spoil that offers a bit more playtime and levels than it looks like there is going to be before you get to that part.
Max PAyne 2 is a hell of a lot of fun too. Almost as good as the original. The levels where you control Mona Sax are just not quite up to full quality
