As long as I can tell what order you've placed them in and use a maximum of five spaces, I don't give a shit how you do it. Go in order ascending, go in order descending, numerical list, I don't really care.
In fact, I'll make my choices today and I'll put them in that order so you'll all be able to see how it goes.

Been searching around, and found a couple to add to the list:
Alien- AvP: Aliens vs Predator AvP: Requiem Predator Predator 2 Xtro Xtro II Xtro III: Watch the Skies
Alligator/Crocodile: Dinocroc vs Supergator
As usual, if anyone finds anything else to add, feel free to add them so when they come up, we have a complete list available.

Well, since the first one hasn't really done much, is there any from the lists available that you guys have seen more than 5 of so that we can finally get some discussions going on this? Just about all of them are good to go on my end, I'd just like to know what you guys have so I'll whittle those down and pick one for next month.

Sure, I think I can do pretty much any of the other topics. My suggestion would be that we open them up at a rate faster than one per month. Otherwise this will go on for over a year. Maybe one per week and leave the polls open even after a new one has opened. That will encourage more activity, and will also mitigate against the chilling effect in case there is another topic like this one that not enough people are prepared to participate on.

Sounds like a plan on all fronts. I will admit to not knowing that year-long bit, just seemed like the appropriate amount of time to get these going, but I'm more than pleased with the suggestions. I'll get going right now and find one to put up in a few moments.
In other news, a couple more additions:
Earthen Creature Features- The Thaw
Rodent Creature Features- Nezulla, The Rat Monster (aka Saikyôjû tanjô Nezura)

Killer Bird- Beaks: The Movie
Killer Snakes- Calamity of Snakes (aka Ren she da zhan) Copperhead: The Snake Movie The Killer Snakes (aka She sha shou) Rattled

Out of curiosity, have you gone back through and totalled some of the last few we did to see what films are winning?
Also, just a thought, but what about a showdown once we have the completed list where we vote cross genre for our favorite of all of the winners and crown it the best creature feature of them all?

That top-of-the-list voting was what I was planning on doing, actually, once we got that far. Once we had all the lists finished and such, I was going to do one last one where it's a poll with all the winners for us to do the best one ever, so you're just a bit ahead of me right now.
The problem is, there's some genres where we only have two or three people who have given their votes and we have some where there's not enough votes separating first and second that it's definitive who's number 1. I'll put up the ones we still some need some help on here once we've finished the original lists, since these are open-ended and we can vote even on the first rounds.

Right, well that just means you guys are going to have to start watching more of these particular genre efforts then so we'll have a better idea of the placing so that we can get that all-in round started. Sure, we still have two more to do in the coming weeks, but the earlier ones need support as well.

Well, I got everything tabulated and counted up, here's where the improvements need to come in before we can do that all-over voting:
You guys need to watch more films in the following genres: Bigfoot/Sasquatch Prehistoric Creatures Sea Creatures Killer Birds Snakes Alligator/Crocodiles Earthen Creatures
We need more people to vote for their favorites in the following genres: Rodents Spiders Mummy Vampire
The rest of them, I'll live with where they stand though I certainly won't say no if others post options in them.
I guess that means you guys have to start watching more of these genres and less of the others in order to partake in this. WATCH SOME ON TV, bump them up in your Netflix que, buy them cheap online/in the video store, doesn't really matter, but in order for that best-of poll to work, you guys have to your part.

I'm sure you all have noticed by now that there's been a couple changes to this project. First, I removed them from being announcements and stickys in the Horror in General section, and have fallen into the pack in regards to the threads in here. I've also stopped counting the votes in there as well, mainly due to the lack of interest and right now have put the whole thing on hold as, and I've talked this over at length with HNT about it, we'll resume this whole thing next year. It seemed like something to do at this point, like a trial run for what'll happen in the future, but the important thing to note here is that this will in effect become a yearly occurrence for us here right around the holidays, and we'll do it every year so that way, it'll be something for us to look forward to as well as gauge our feelings on specific films over the course of a year, as these are produced every year and sometimes our feelings regarding a specific genre can change over time. Hopefully this'll generate a bit more excitement in the upcoming years, but just making a little announcement as to what happened with this.
And of course, any suggestions, comments and/or criticisms for how to work this out in the future are welcome and can go here for the next rounds. So, that means, get the prep-work in here before we start on the threads so we have no issues regarding placement, entry qualifications and such.
Plus, that also means it's time for you guys to start watching one or two every now and then. I realize there's a lot out there and it's wrong of me to say that you guys have to participate in this, but keep this project in mind and maybe watch one a month or something so you guys can participate a little more.
But overall, just letting you all know what's going on.

I'm glad you got rid of the announcements - when the whole first page of horror in general was the announcemnts and then the threads themselves it seem a little cluttered.
