I rented this movie tonite. Pretty nice movie. Only thing I want to know is, how did Leatherface get into the car at the end before the girl did?

Still haven't seen it yet. Missed it at the cinemas because it was Mrs T's turn to choose a flick that weekend (I am SO getting divorced ). Is that unrated version with the 'flesh' cover available yet to order? (Sorry I've been of-line a while.)

We watched this a few nights ago, and I actually liked it surprisingly enough. Since I hated the remake so much, I wasn't expecting to enjoy this one at all, but I did.....until the end. The end was so damn lame, just about ruined the whole thing. Ugh. But R. Lee Ermey made the movie. Just wish they hadn't decided on that ending.

The end was the only thing I did not like about it. Well I liked it I just did not like one part of it. I posted about it before, just check it cause I don't want to post it again. lol

I didn't have to look, I already knew.... The stupid part that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. It isn't possible for him to have gotten there before her, situated himself in a way that she wouldn't have noticed him back there. He's freakin' huge and not exactly the most graceful guy in the world. There's so many problems with it. The bad part is, they had a better idea, but threw it out because it was too "cliched" then went on to replace it with something even more cliched? What??? ARGH But I also didn't care for the running down the cop and the guy he pulled over either. That caused logic problems, that just couldn't have been cleaned up as easily and explained away as easily as the others. But the main problem was Leatherface being in that backseat. Ugh.

The remake was really lame, and this one was pretty much just a rehash of the same stuff from the remake. There are even scenes in this one that were practically the same as the ones in the remake. Anyways I didn't care for it at all and thought it was pretty bad.

Yeah, I can see that, it was very similar to the remake in a lot of ways, which I detest. But for some reason, it doesn't grate on me like the remake. I think because I am partial to a couple of the death scenes. And R. Lee of course. And I wasn't sitting there seething about how they completely screwed it up like I was with the remake...LOL. It isn't great by any means, but I admit to having fun. But geez does that ending suck.....oh I'm sorry, did I already mention how bad that ending was? haha

Yea, the ending was really bad. Only thing I liked about the film was R. Lee Ermey's performance.

Halfway through... Mrs T will come at a lot, but decided last night she couldn't brook the sound of chainsaws and screaming, and Toad wanted full 5.1 experience rather than headphones. So far, better than expected

OK, call me a philistine, but I actually really liked this one. And yes I liked the ending too. Unless we got a different cut down under, it was not your typical Hollywood crap ( like the ending that spoiled the HHE remake). Erney's performance was fantastic, and I can forgive a couple of logical leaps - fer chrissake Leatherface/Tommy knew the slaughterhouse inside out - easy for him to get out first. Toad gives it 4 out of 5.

It is good fun. I have no hesitation in recommending it. Not the most original entry in the series, but a hell of an improvment on the remake.

R Lee Ermy is always a hoot. No disappointment in this either. I watched it two days ago though and am seriously struggling to remember anything else about it.
